Stay in Control of Electricity & Gas Costs
Energy bills are one of the largest recurring expenses in Australian homes. Retailers change their rates based on wholesale markets, meaning loyalty rarely pays.
When you compare with ManageHub, you see transparent supply charges, peak/off-peak breakdowns, and any conditional discounts upfront.
We highlight plans with flexible payment options, rewards programs, clean energy add-ons, and solar FiTs so you can match a plan to your lifestyle.
Need to cover multiple properties? Our dashboard (coming soon) lets landlords and strata managers track utility spend side by side.
Solar-friendly plans
Boost feed-in credits and get export data so you know exactly when to use or store power.
Dual fuel simplicity
Bundle electricity and gas with one retailer while keeping independent rate visibility.
Bill shock protection
Track regulator price caps and receive alerts when your plan resets above market rates.
Questions
Energy comparison FAQs
The essentials you should know before switching electricity or gas providers.
How do I compare electricity and gas plans?
Look at more than just the headline discount. Compare the daily supply charge, usage rate, contract length, and any conditional discounts. Our comparison view makes it easy to see the real cost of each plan for your household usage.
Can I switch providers if I'm renting?
Yes. In most rental agreements, the account holder can choose their energy retailer. Just make sure you provide meter access for the final read and update your landlord if it is required in the lease.
What if I have solar panels?
You can still compare retail plans—just pay attention to the feed-in-tariff (FiT). Some plans have higher FiTs but higher usage charges, so balance the two based on how much energy you export back to the grid.
Does switching cause supply interruptions?
Your power stays on during a switch. The infrastructure (poles, wires, gas pipes) remains the same—the only difference is the company that bills you. Once you choose a plan, the new retailer handles the paperwork with your distributor.
How often should I review my plan?
Wholesale energy prices move frequently and introductory discounts expire. Reviewing every 6-12 months ensures you stay on a competitive rate, especially heading into summer or winter high-usage periods.
